Industrial Maintenance Electromechanic
Location: Van Wert - Ohio
MISSON
Ensure the reliability and performance of industrial machinery, systems and infrastructure by maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing both electrical and mechanical components. Contribute to operational efficiency and compliance with safety and quality standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Electromechanical Maintenance and Repair
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical and electrical components of industrial machinery and facility infrastructure (e.g., HVAC systems, compressed air systems, and structural components).
- Diagnose and repair issues involving motors, conveyors, pumps, PLCs, and facility infrastructure.
- Replace or repair defective components, such as bearings, seals, or wiring.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of electromechanical equipment.
Tools and Equipment Management
- Utilize and maintain specialized tools and equipment for electromechanical and infrastructure-related maintenance.
- Operate diagnostic tools to ensure the integrity of both equipment and infrastructures.
Infrastructure Maintenance
- Ensure the proper functioning of building systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and structural mechanisms.
- Coordinate with facility management to address infrastructure-related maintenance needs.
- Inspect and maintain facility-related equipment, including elevators, doors, and safety systems.
Production Support
- Assist production teams in auxiliary tasks as required, such as operating grinders, winders, or packaging equipment.
- Step in during high-demand periods, staff absences, or other situations to ensure continuous production operations.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols during all maintenance activities.
- Conduct safety inspections of infrastructure and equipment to mitigate risks.
- Participate in regular safety training and promote a safe working environment.
Documentation and Record-Keeping
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and part replacements.
- Update technical documentation, such as schematics and maintenance logs.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work with cross-functional teams to resolve complex electromechanical issues.
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding maintenance progress and challenges.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Contribute to projects aimed at optimizing production processes and reducing downtime.
Training and Development
- Provide on-the-job training for junior maintenance staff as required.
- Stay updated with advancements in maintenance technologies and best practices.
Monitoring and KPIs
- Monitor equipment and infrastructure performance and contribute to achieving maintenance-related KPIs, such as equipment uptime and repair response times.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Educational Background:
- Technical degree or vocational training in electromechanics, mechatronics, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electromechanical maintenance.
- Experience with industrial automation and control systems.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Proficiency in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems, including motors, conveyors, PLCs, and pumps.
- Knowledge of maintaining facility infrastructures such as HVAC systems, compressed air systems, and structural mechanisms.
- Ability to identify and resolve issues in electromechanical systems using diagnostic tools, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and vibration analysis equipment.
- Experience working with PLCs, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and industrial sensors/actuators.
- Skill in interpreting schematics, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Understanding of OSHA, NEC, and other industrial safety and regulatory standards for electrical and mechanical work.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including their maintenance and repair.
- Familiarity with energy-efficient practices and systems, including monitoring and optimizing infrastructure performance.
- Ability to perform welding and basic fabrication tasks to support maintenance activities.
- Proficiency in using CMMS for planning, tracking, and documenting maintenance tasks.
- A solid understanding of how electrical and mechanical systems interact within industrial equipment and infrastructures.
